From Google Sheets to one operations platform for a growing manufacturer
BioPapro makes eco-friendly products and ran sales, purchase and the factory on Google Sheets and scripts. We moved it to one platform for inventory, purchase orders, orders, CRM and dashboards, with exports and finance in phase two.
What they were running on
- Raw material and finished goods tracked in Google Sheets
- Purchase orders for overseas raw material followed up by hand
- Scripts breaking as the sheets grew
- No role-based access between sales, purchase and factory teams
Why it had to change
Spreadsheets got BioPapro to scale, then started to hold it back: every new product line meant more tabs, more scripts and more places for numbers to disagree. Sales, purchase and the factory needed one source of truth, with access by team.
The system, on their own server
Raw material and finished goods inventory with PO tracking, including overseas sourcing
Order management and CRM in the same system
Role-based access for sales, purchase and factory teams
Phase 2: export documents from PO to dispatch, finance, production and QC, and an AI assistant for plain-language questions
How it went live
The core migration ran in parallel with the sheets for validation before the team switched over, so daily work never stopped.
